In 'The Big Lebowski', The Dude and The Big Lebowski are the similar, but they're also different in several ways. They are the same because in way, neither one of them is very successful. The Dude lives in a rundown apartment without very many possesions. He buys what he needs, and that's it. The Big Labowski may live in a fancy house with a lot of stuff he doesn't need, but the only reason he has it is because of his daughter. If it wasn't for her, he'd probably be worse off than The Dude. They are also similar in the way that women are dominant in their lives. The Dude doesn't have the greatest luck with girls, and The Big Labowski depends on his daughter to survive with a good status.
Aswell as having a few similarities, they've also got their differences. The Big Labowski wants as much as he can get, and is determined to keep his good status. The Dude is happy with the way his life is going, and doesn't really care about much. He's more laid back and isn't determined to do anything with himself.
