To me, Blink-182 is definitely one of the most creative, interesting sounding bands that I've ever listened to. Besides the fact that they've been loved and listened to since 1992, Travis Barker (even though he wasn't a member of Blink-182 until after 1997, when their first drummer Scott Raynor left) survived a plane crash that could have been fatal. That's gotta mean something! They're also probably one of the greatest bands because while most bands struggle to find a label that will sign them, Blink-182 had been signed and released their first album in 1994 after self-releasing a demo called Flyswatter in the fall of 1992. They were also included in Warped Tour, one of the best music scenes that you could be part of. Also, in 2000 their album Enema of the State went multi-platinum world wide, and won them the 2000 MTV best group video for 'All The Small Things'. To me, they're considered one of the greatest bands that ever existed because they're music was amazing from start to finish. Blink-182 is the only band that I've actually spent a lot of money on to get most of their albums (I own 5 of them). They're worthy enough for me to spend my money instead of just downloading them. They're one of the only bands that I've never grown tired of, because their songs don't all sound the same, and they can all create a different mood. Some bands can only create one type of sound or emotion, where as Blink-182 was able to cover several. If a song can make a person go from being the saddest or angriest kid in the world to being in a better mood, then they deserve to be recognized.
